Intermediate Maritime Structural Pipe Fitter

The Intermediate Maritime Structural Pipe Fitter program prepares students for careers in a maritime environment which may include oil refineries, chemical and power plants, shipyards and surrounding areas. The concentration of this 305 hour program will involve maritime industry and how piping systems are fabricated and installed. Upon successful completion of the program, student will be able to understand the maritime pipefitting trade, solve a wide variety of pipefitting math problems, understand hand and power tool safety and proper usage, describe the procedures and safety practices related to oxyfuel cutting and how to identify different types of ladders and scaffolds and their safe usage.
